NEAR Mobile Passes 1 Million Downloads as Gasless Swaps Span 35+ Blockchains

—By our DeFi Desk2 min read

NEAR Mobile, the NEAR ecosystem’s largest mobile wallet, has surpassed 1 million downloads and ranked among the top four Finance apps in four countries, according to Toplify data covering a recent 31-day period. The self-custodial wallet reached #1 in Finance in Serbia, #2 in Hungary, and #4 in Moldova and Oman, while also ranking #7 in Finance in Finland and Nigeria. It appeared in App Store rankings across 38 countries.

The wallet’s latest update, version 4.0.0, introduces gasless cross-chain swaps covering more than 120 assets across 35+ blockchains. Powered by NEAR Intents, the feature sponsors relayer fees for supported transactions, allowing users to move or swap assets without holding NEAR or maintaining native gas tokens on each supported network.

NEAR Intents has recorded more than $33 billion in cumulative volume across 35 blockchains. Through the protocol, NEAR Mobile presents supported liquidity from multiple networks as a unified balance, including balances held on Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and TRON, allowing users to send or swap aggregated assets without manually bridging funds first.

NEAR says cross-chain swaps can settle in seconds while combining cross-chain execution, unified balances, staking and self-custodial asset management in a single mobile interface. The expansion comes as NEAR Mobile broadens its international visibility and makes the chain abstraction technology more accessible to everyday users.
