NYSE Brings Ballots Onchain, But the Memos Still Need a Refresh 🗳️

—By our Markets Desk1 min read

The New York Stock Exchange has partnered with Broadridge to introduce onchain shareholder governance and digital transfer agency services for NYSE’s proposed tokenized securities platform. The platform is expected to launch following regulatory approval.

Under the partnership, NYSE will use Broadridge’s smart contracts to connect tokenized securities with meeting agendas, voting rules and verifiable voting results. The integration is intended to give listed issuers access to tools for tokenizing their stocks on NYSE’s platform.

Broadridge said, “These steps demonstrate the NYSE platform’s interoperability and marks the next phase of its development and Broadridge’s commitment to bringing world class governance and transfer agency services to token investors and public companies.”

The announcement comes as NYSE expands its tokenization efforts and looks to integrate Hyperliquid perpetuals for stocks and other assets.
