CZ Draws a Line Under SpaceX Talk: No Share Sale, No Musk Feud—Just North Korean Hackers 🚀
Binance co-founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao denied threatening to sell SpaceX shares or pressure Elon Musk, saying he never made a commitment to dispose of the stake held by Binance. He said he raised the holdings only to counter comparisons between Binance and the hacked crypto exchange FTX.
In a post on X on October 31, CZ said: “I never said selling SPCX shares. I mentioned we have them only because the FTX comparison in the thread may have implied we lacked funds, which is not true.” He added, “I don’t make threats,” describing that principle as one of his core principles and noting that he has written about it in his book.
CZ characterized Binance’s SpaceX holdings as “a drop in the ocean” relative to the company’s scale. He added that SPCX is one of the best stocks to hold for the long-term, while denying any intention to fight with Musk, whom he called “one of the strongest builders in the world.”
“Let’s fight the North Korean hackers,” he said. “Fight with one of the strongest builders in the world? No thx. Let’s fight the North Korean hackers.” — CZ 🔶 BNB (@cz_binance) Octo
