Stellar Lands a Securitize Deal, Giving Tokenized Assets Another Orbit 🪐
Securitize (SECZ) added Stellar to its supported blockchains as institutional tokenization gains momentum. The company, which converts real-world assets such as equity and debt into tokens that can be traded like cryptocurrencies, already works closely with Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche and is known for issuing and managing BlackRock’s BUIDL tokenized money-market fund.
Stellar enables decentralized assets to be configured for customer identification (KYC), clawbacks and sanctions compliance, the firms said at Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference in Lisbon. Franklin Templeton runs a tokenized money market fund on Stellar, while MoneyGram moves money across the network daily.
“The Stellar network has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, which speaks to the strength of its network and the growing institutional demand for tokenization,” said Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo in a statement.
Companies are increasingly offering or planning blockchain-based versions of shares, bonds and commodities that can trade around the clock with few, if any, geographic restrictions. Stellar, founded in 2017, went public on the New York Stock Exchange in July, putting its own stock on Solana (SOL) and Avalanche (AVAX) at the same time. Its shares rose as high as $13.70 on the first day of trading and closed at $xx.xx on Tuesday.
Stellar paid for the reporter’s trip to Portugal to cover the conference.
