XRP Ledger Gets Literal: Franklin’s $150M sgBENJI Move Lands in One Wallet
Franklin Templeton added roughly $150 million in sgBENJI shares to the XRP Ledger (XRPL), nearly quadrupling the asset manager’s tokenized fund position there overnight. The move was recorded through two separate $75 million cash subscription receipts on Wednesday, followed by matching share issuances on Thursday.
Each batch delivered just over 72.18 million sgBENJI shares at a price of $1.039 per share. Before the inflow, Franklin held roughly 48 million shares on the XRPL. That figure has now climbed to nearly 193 million shares, giving the position a value of approximately $200 million at current pricing.
All of Franklin’s sgBENJI balance now sits in one wallet, which shares the same eight signing addresses as Franklin’s issuing account.
RWA.xyz ranks Franklin second among XRPL tokenized asset issuers, behind Ripple’s RLUSD at roughly $930M.
