LG CNS taps Chainlink for Korea’s tokenized finance push—blockchain gets a plumbing upgrade

—By our DeFi Desk1 min read

LG CNS, LG Group’s South Korean IT-service arm, is partnering with Chainlink to develop digital asset infrastructure for local banks and financial institutions, the companies said Thursday.

The project will incorporate Chainlink’s oracle and cross-chain technology into LG CNS digital asset platform solutions for Korean institutions. Its targets include stablecoins, tokenized securities and interoperability between blockchain networks.

The companies also plan to support the adoption and distribution of Korean stablecoins in a market with more than 11 million eligible users. South Korea is one of the world’s most active digital asset markets, with technical and regulatory initiatives advancing.

According to Chainalysis, the country’s crypto economy grew about 12% to $449 billion between July 2025 and June 2026, outpacing other East Asian markets.
