Arf’s RLUSD Deal Puts XRPL on the Cross-Border Fast Track
Ripple has partnered with settlement platform Arf to bring RLUSD-powered settlement liquidity to licensed cross-border payment companies on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), according to a company release.
During the first phase of the partnership, Arf will provide direct RLUSD settlement liquidity on the XRPL. The settlement platform will use the RLUSD stablecoin to provide short-term working capital that payment companies can deploy and repay once they settle cross-border transactions. Payment companies typically repay the capital within one to five days.
Arf also plans to expand its settlement activity to the XRPL lending protocol once it becomes available. The partnership will provide payment companies with access to RLUSD-backed liquidity for cross-border settlement operations on the network.
The move comes as Ripple continues to expand the global use of RLUSD and XRP. Cross River Bank has partnered with Ripple to integrate stablecoin payments into its banking infrastructure, including using the XRPL to settle stablecoin transactions.
