SharpLink Tells Its $400M ETH Stash to Clock In: Ether.fi Gets $200M, Lido Gets $200M ⏰
Nasdaq-listed Ethereum treasury firm SharpLink ($SBET) has deployed $400 million of its Ether reserves onchain, splitting the capital evenly between Ether.fi and Lido Finance, with Anchorage Digital serving as custodian for both positions. The company confirmed the deployment via its official X account on October 19, 2026, framing the move as putting its ETH "to work every day."
The deployment shifts SharpLink from passive ETH accumulation to an active, yield-generating onchain strategy centered on compounding ETH-per-share, a structure the company has described as a benchmark other institutional treasuries can follow. Each $200 million allocation is placed with one of Ethereum's largest liquid staking protocols, with Anchorage Digital holding the underlying assets in custody.
SharpLink's shareholder registry reflects the institutional weight behind the Ethereum pivot, with ownership from Fidelity, BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, and Vanguard pushing institutional ownership to roughly 60%. The firm has built its treasury thesis around a single directive: accumulate ETH and make it productive, a stance that has dovetailed with rising institutional demand for staking yield rather than passive spot exposure.
The onchain deployment marks SharpLink's first major move under that framework, operationalizing a treasury model the company says is designed to scale as additional capital is rotated into staking, restaking, and related Ethereum-native yield strategies. Anchorage Digital's role as custodian for both the Ether.fi and Lido positions centralizes custody for the firm's staking footprint and standardizes reporting across protocols.
Ether.fi and Lido Finance each now manage $200 million allocated by SharpLink as part of the deployment, with the proceeds of staking activity intended to be reinvested into additional ETH holdings rather than distributed as dividends. SharpLink has not disclosed the expected staking yield or the timeline for further deployments as additional treasury capital is brought onchain.
