XRP finally joins X — twelve years late, zero apologies, one Bernstein tease

XRP now has an official presence on X for the first time in the token's history, with the account jointly managed by Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation. The debut post read "Hello world. It's about time," and was followed by Ripple president Monica Long, CTO Emeritus David Schwartz, the XRP Ledger Foundation, Evernorth Holdings, and Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse publicly welcoming the launch, with Garlinghouse describing it as "a long time coming."

Hours after going live, the @XRP account shared a video captioned "Perhaps the most normal thing in the world right now." The video referenced crypto adoption, the use of blockchain for real-time 24/7 payments, and closed with the word "Bernstein," a reference to the institutional research and brokerage firm Bernstein.

The launch coincided with the unveiling of xrp.org, a dedicated website for the XRP community, and arrived in the lead-up to Ripple Swell 2026, scheduled for later in October. The XRP Ledger is the decentralized blockchain underpinning the XRP token, which is used for cross-border and on-demand liquidity services by Ripple's institutional payment products.

The new X account is operated jointly by Ripple, the San Francisco-headquartered payments company closely associated with XRP, and the XRP Ledger Foundation, a Switzerland-based organization that supports development of the XRPL ecosystem. Ripple and the XRPLF did not announce specific content plans for the account beyond the introductory posts, and the entities named in this story are the same ones publicly listed as collaborators on the launch.

The debut lands amid renewed institutional interest in digital assets, with Bernstein among the firms that have published research on the sector. No financial figures, partnership terms, or token supply changes were disclosed alongside the account and website rollout, and the bodies of the post and accompanying video did not include price targets or investment guidance.
