MiCA's roster swells to 375 as BingX and YouHodler check in for their EU passports π
The European Securities and Markets Authority expanded the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation register by nine crypto-asset service providers on Friday, lifting the total number of unique providers to 375. Among the new entries was the Austrian entity of crypto exchange BingX, MEGE zweite, alongside the Italian subsidiary of crypto lending platform YouHodler, which received authorization to provide custody, operate crypto exchanges, execute orders and handle transfers. Both firms announced their authorizations last week.
BingX EU CEO Daniel Lai said the approval would allow the company to operate under a clear regulatory framework as it prepares to launch regulated services across the European Economic Area. Spain's Prakma Markets, associated with the Goin crypto savings and investment app, was also among the latest additions to the CASP register.
Germany's three new entrants included Openbank Deutschland, a subsidiary of Spanish banking group Banco Santander, plus cooperative lenders VR-Bank Alb-Blau-Donau and VR Bank im sΓΌdlichen Franken. Denmark's Penning Financial Services, which had appeared in register updates dating back to July 3, was no longer listed.
The e-money token register was unchanged at 50 entries representing 25 unique entities, while the asset-referenced token register remained empty. ESMA's register of non-compliant crypto-asset service providers grew by five entries to 178, underscoring the parallel effort to track firms operating outside the bloc's new rules.
