Ripple Prime Goes 24/7 With TradFi Perps, Because Wall Street Apparently Needed Perpetual Gold 🌙
Ripple Prime has launched TradFi perpetuals for institutional clients through Trade.xyz's markets on Hyperliquid, marking the brokerage platform's latest push to merge decentralized infrastructure and traditional finance. The new offering, reported by Bloomberg, gives Wall Street clients access to perpetuals referencing stocks, ETFs, indices, and commodities such as gold and silver via Trade.xyz, the largest HIP-3 deployer on Hyperliquid.
The rollout allows institutional clients to trade these real-world asset contracts beyond conventional market hours, with Trade.xyz providing around-the-clock access. Open interest on real-world asset perpetual contracts has risen to $9 billion over the past year, according to the Bloomberg report, underscoring growing demand for 24/7 exposure to traditional instruments through crypto-native rails.
Ripple Prime's brokerage platform has been broadening its institutional suite since an earlier DeFi-focused rollout. As previously reported, Ripple Prime now offers swap financing for leveraged ETFs, a segment historically dominated by banks and securities firms. The TradFi perpetuals launch extends that push into derivative products tied to underlying equities and commodities.
The move positions Ripple Prime alongside a small but growing group of firms bridging Hyperliquid's on-chain perpetuals infrastructure with institutional capital. Trade.xyz operates as the largest HIP-3 deployer on the network, hosting the markets that Ripple Prime's clients will now access. The integration gives institutional traders a single entry point to perpetuals referencing assets such as $BTC-correlated products, gold, and major equity benchmarks.
Ripple Prime's expansion comes as demand intensifies for continuous trading access to traditional instruments, a gap crypto-based perpetual markets have increasingly sought to fill. The partnership with Trade.xyz adds another conduit between Hyperliquid's liquidity and Wall Street desks, while Ripple continues building out services aimed at institutional clients seeking exposure to both digital and traditional assets through one brokerage relationship.
