KuCoin Drops KCUSD: Stablecoins That Clock In and Still Show Up to Trade 💼

—By our Exchanges & Companies Desk2 min read

KuCoin has introduced KCUSD, a yield-bearing USD asset that lets users earn up to 6% APR on deposited stablecoins while keeping funds accessible for trading. The product pays a standard APR of up to 4%, with a promotional rate of up to 6% available to eligible participants, and the promotional figure includes the base yield rather than adding an additional 6% on top. Subscriptions open in USDT, USDC, or USDG, with KCUSD issued at a 1:1 ratio and no subscription fee. Rewards accrue daily starting at T+1 and are automatically compounded, and there is no fixed lockup period.

KCUSD functions as a flexible earn product rather than a standalone token, acting as a certificate that represents a user's stablecoin position within the KuCoin ecosystem. Balances can be redeemed back into the originally deposited stablecoin at any time, and the product is now available inside KuCoin's Unified Trading Account (UTA), where eligible VIP users can deploy KCUSD as trading collateral while it continues to generate its base yield. KuCoin announced the rollout on October 14, 2026, via its official X account.

At a 6% APR, $10,000 in principal would generate approximately $600 over a year before compounding. The base rate of around 4% places KCUSD among the higher-yielding flexible exchange-based products currently available, and its integration with UTA allows the same capital to serve simultaneously as margin and as an interest-earning balance. Entry and exit are supported across several major stablecoins, and rewards are compounded without manual user action.
