DriveWealth Hitching a Ride on the XRP Ledger: Stablecoin Stops in Europe First 🇪🇺
Fintech infrastructure provider DriveWealth is integrating Ripple's payments and RLUSD stablecoin settlement capabilities into its brokerage platform, with the first rollout planned for Europe before any expansion into the United States. The partnership was announced on October 14, 2026, and combines stablecoins, cross-border payments, liquidity, custody, and prime brokerage across DriveWealth's global financial infrastructure, according to a press release from Ripple.
Under the arrangement, DriveWealth will integrate Ripple's stablecoin infrastructure to support settlement in Europe, with plans to extend that settlement infrastructure to the U.S. while leveraging RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, including mint and burn capabilities. DriveWealth will also integrate Ripple Payments to support cross-border transactions from its global partners, and XRP is named among the digital assets that can be used for those transfers. The companies did not specify which partners will use the integration, whether any clients are already live, or whether the service will roll out across all of DriveWealth's more than 100 global partners, which include fintechs, digital wallets, and financial institutions offering access to U.S. markets.
DriveWealth framed the deal as a step toward borderless, always-on market access. "The future of financial markets is borderless, timeless, and limitless," DriveWealth said in a post on X accompanying the announcement, tagging Ripple and the $RLUSD ticker. Ripple highlighted the scope of the collaboration in its own statement: "Partnership brings together stablecoins, payments, liquidity, custody, and prime brokerage across DriveWealth's global financial infrastructure."
The operational case centers on timing. International clients can face bank-transfer windows and cutoff times that delay when capital reaches investment accounts, and stablecoin funding that converts to cash in near real time could reduce reliance on those transfer rails. DriveWealth provides brokerage infrastructure used by more than 100 partners globally, giving the integration a potential distribution channel beyond any single brokerage operation, though neither company has confirmed which partners are lined up or when the European settlement service will go live.
