Saylor Says Bitcoin Bottomed Below $60K, Sees Six Figures Again — Patience Required 📈

—By our Markets Desk2 min read

Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor declared that Bitcoin has entered a new bull market and is positioned to climb back above $100,000, according to a Bloomberg Television interview on October 13. Speaking from a price level near $83,000, roughly 34% below the October 2025 all-time high of $126,251, Saylor argued that the cryptocurrency had already bottomed and was beginning another upward move. "We hit the bottom around slightly below $60,000," Saylor said, adding that Bitcoin has since recovered into the $80,000 range. He predicted a return to six figures but did not provide a specific timeline.

Bitcoin ($BTC) has traded around $80,000 since mid-August, following a prolonged decline from its October 2025 peak. The market also experienced approximately $19 billion in liquidations shortly after that record, pressuring leveraged cryptocurrency positions across exchanges. Saylor attributed his outlook to changing monetary conditions, regulatory developments, and increasing institutional participation, and said he expects $BTC to benefit from banking adoption and demand for digital credit as financial institutions expand their cryptocurrency offerings.

Strategy, the business intelligence firm formerly known as MicroStrategy, plans additional Bitcoin purchases and digital credit issuance to support its expanding financial operations. The company has been the most prominent corporate accumulator of $BTC, and Saylor's comments come as Strategy faces potential index-related headwinds. MSCI has proposed index changes that could exclude Strategy, potentially putting USD 2.8 billion in investment flows at risk.

Saylor pointed to improving economic conditions, institutional adoption, and growing demand for Bitcoin-backed financial products as the drivers behind his bullish stance. He also cited regulatory clarity and expanding banking participation in the crypto sector as structural supports for the asset's next leg higher. Strategy has not disclosed a specific target date or price path beyond its chairman's six-figure forecast, and the firm continues to disclose its $BTC holdings through regular public filings and corporate announcements.
