Interactive Brokers Finally Lets Clients Stake $ETH — Wall Street Called, They Actually Hired 🏦

Interactive Brokers, a brokerage platform managing more than $900 billion in client assets, has launched crypto staking services beginning with Ethereum, expanding its digital-asset offerings beyond spot trading. The staking infrastructure is provided through a partnership with Zerohash, according to a company press release.

"At launch, eligible Interactive Brokers LLC clients can stake Ethereum through the Staking Dashboard in IBKR's Client Portal, where they can submit stake or unstake requests and monitor pending activity," the firm said. The dashboard allows users to initiate requests and track pending staking activity directly within the existing client interface.

The brokerage already supports trading across 20 crypto assets and earlier this year rolled out Bitcoin and Ethereum futures trading in partnership with Coinbase Derivatives. The addition of staking marks the firm's first move into yield-generating crypto services, with Zerohash serving as the underlying infrastructure provider.

Interactive Brokers stated that the staking program will initially focus on Ethereum and could be extended to additional assets in the future, though the company did not specify which tokens or provide a timeline for further expansion. The firm also did not disclose the reward rates offered to clients at launch.
