AnyPS5 Hits 86% Library Port — GTA 6 PC Dreams Run at 27 FPS for Now 🚀

An open-source project called AnyPS5 is using AI to convert PlayStation 5 game executables into native Windows and Linux applications, and its developers say the tool's system library support has climbed to 86.47%. A community-run tracker lists more than 180 PS5 titles that have been tested with the project, though only a handful have been verified as playable. The latest update, posted to X by Chris Mizo (@MizoChris) on October 12, 2026, reports 3,005 of 3,475 declared system functions implemented, along with 100% of PS5 GPU shaders and 88% of system libraries ported. Support for libc stands at 99%.

AnyPS5 is not an emulator; it swaps Sony's system libraries for its own versions, allowing games to run natively on PC rather than being emulated. Community demos have included GTA 5 running at 27 FPS in performance graphics mode, Phasmophobia at 25 FPS, Vampire Survivors at 60 FPS and Epic Mickey at 4 FPS, though Discord members note that the games remain unplayable due to incomplete libraries and game-specific bugs. The project maintains a Discord showcase channel where rudimentary demos are posted.

Pseudonymous gaming content creator Schlayerr said on TikTok that "GTA 6 most likely will be able to run on your PC at launch, and [with] significantly higher frames than it would be on your PS5. We live in a crazy time." Theodore Agranat, Director of Web3 at Gunzilla Games — the studio behind battle royale Off the Grid — told Decrypt that "Technically, this is feasible given the similarities between console and PC architectures, and AI can dramatically accelerate the reverse engineering work," while adding that he remained skeptical about delivering "the quality, performance, and fidelity players expect from AAA games at scale."

Discord members have identified a mandatory GTA 6 firmware update as a potential roadblock, saying AnyPS5 would need to overhaul its converted files to match the latest update before the game could run on PC via the project. The remaining 12% of system library support is expected to take significant time as new libraries continue to be discovered, according to community estimates.
