Cloudflare Security Check Crashes ambcrypto Newsroom: The Bots Were Apparently on Break 💤

Readers attempting to access ambcrypto.com on Wednesday were greeted not by fresh crypto headlines but by a wall of Cloudflare security text, after a verification check on the site repeatedly blocked normal browsing traffic.

The message, displayed across multiple page loads, informed users that "This website uses a security service to protect against malicious bots" and that the page would appear while the system verified the visitor was not automated. The same notice appeared on at least eight separate attempts to reach the site during the same session, suggesting the issue was persistent rather than a one-off glitch.

The security notice advised affected readers to temporarily disable browser extensions, review their network configuration, and, if the problem continued, consult Cloudflare's troubleshooting documentation for further guidance. It also directed users to their browser or device documentation for steps on managing extensions and network settings.

The repeated prompts did not contain any figures, market data, or tickers such as $BTC or $ETH, and the verification screen did not provide a timeline for when normal access would resume. ambcrypto.com, a widely read cryptocurrency news outlet, had not issued a public statement on the disruption at the time of the failed page loads.

The incident occurred as crypto markets continued active trading sessions across major venues, with news outlets serving as a primary distribution channel for price updates, regulatory developments, and on-chain analysis. Outlets protected by Cloudflare, a widely used web security and content delivery network, have occasionally been impacted by similar verification interruptions.

Users who continue to encounter the security challenge page are advised to follow the on-site instructions, disable extensions as a first step, and consult Cloudflare's official support resources.
