Bitcoin Bounces 3% as Trump Hints Peace, Oil Drops, and Chart Points to $94K 🌽
Bitcoin price climbed more than 3% on Tuesday, bouncing from $81,017 to $84,074 as a combination of macroeconomic signals, falling oil prices, and bullish chart patterns drove buying across spot and derivatives markets. The rebound came ahead of the U.S. CPI inflation print scheduled for later this week, with traders positioning amid evolving geopolitical commentary from Washington.
The rally accelerated after U.S. President Donald Trump said he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy want to reach a ceasefire deal to end the war in Ukraine. "They don't know how," Trump said of the two leaders, adding that he does not believe China and Russia are helping Iran. "They have too much to lose, and we would know about it." Trump also predicted an imminent end to the Iran conflict, stating, "Prices are coming down and as soon as the war ends, which will be very soon with Iran, the oil will drop like a rock." Brent crude fell to almost $92 per barrel on Tuesday in response to the remarks.
Corporate Bitcoin accumulation continued to underpin demand, with Strategy and other Bitcoin treasury firms adding to their holdings during the move. Derivatives data showed a parallel surge in leveraged long positioning, with Bitcoin futures open interest jumping nearly 3% across CME, Binance, and other exchanges within hours. The combination of declining global yields and softer energy prices added a supportive macro backdrop as traders awaited U.S. inflation data.
Technically, chart patterns point to a bullish continuation setup with immediate resistance in the $88,000 region and a measured-move target near $94,000. Price action followed a clean reclaim of the $84,000 level, with momentum indicators curling higher on the four-hour chart. Should the $94,000 target be reached, it would represent a fresh local high and reinforce the medium-term uptrend structure that has held since the recent cycle low.
Market participants remain attentive to Wednesday's CPI print, which will frame Federal Reserve expectations for the remainder of the quarter. Any upside surprise in inflation could pressure $BTC back toward the $80,000 support zone, while a softer reading may accelerate the push toward the projected $94,000 resistance. Until that data point, $BTC continues to trade within a tightening range defined by $81,000 on the downside and $88,000 overhead.
