USDT in, SWIFT out: A7's new international payment service keeps the wire but swaps the rails
Russia's A7, the international settlement system built by Bank PSB, is set to unveil A7 International on October 13, a service that lets clients pay a foreign counterparty's invoice in USDT while the recipient receives funds via a standard SWIFT bank transfer in the required currency. The fixed fee is 0.3 percent. A presentation of the offering is scheduled for 13 October at 13:13 by Petr Fradkov, Chairman of PJSC Bank PSB, and Ilan Shor, CEO of A7.
A7 International is positioned for cross-border trade operators, with individuals also eligible, and is available only in jurisdictions where cryptocurrency circulation is permitted. A client registers at a7.biz, completes KYC or KYB verification, uploads an invoice and supporting documents, and an algorithm extracts the relevant data to populate the application. "The system operates as follows," the company stated, explaining that its engine "analyzes the sender and beneficiary, jurisdictions, and key risk factors of the transaction," builds a payment risk profile, compares compliance requirements with available infrastructure, and "recommends the optimal payment route taking into account its cost, speed, reliability, and applicable restrictions." Routing is designed to adapt dynamically to channel availability.
Chairman of Bank PSB Petr Fradkov framed the launch as a repositioning of the company. "We are presenting not just a new product in the lineup, but a new image of A7. We have adapted our service so that it can be used remotely from anywhere in the world. This is precisely the key demand of market participants today. They want to be able to transfer money around the world in a few clicks in the shortest possible time – directly from your smartphone, without lengthy paperwork, hidden fees, or unjustified holds on funds. And we are packaging this demand into a convenient and competitive form," he said. Recipients do not need to accept cryptocurrency or open a crypto wallet, as funds land in their bank account.
Founded in 2024 with the involvement of PSB Bank, A7 develops independent global payment infrastructure across more than 100 countries and serves roughly 15,000 clients, processing about 2,000 transactions per day. In 2025 the platform handled more than 10 trillion roubles in settlements, with approximately 19 percent of Russian companies' cross-border trade settlements going through A7. In October 2025, ACRA assigned A7 an AA(RU) credit rating with a stable outlook.
