PSB-Backed A7 to Launch USDT-to-SWIFT Settlement Service on 10/13, Because 0.3% Beats 3% and 30%

Russian international settlement system A7, created by Bank PSB, is set to unveil A7 International on 13 October, a service that will allow foreign trade operators and individuals to pay a counterparty's invoice in USDT, with the funds arriving via a standard SWIFT bank transfer in the required currency. The service carries a fixed fee of 0.3 percent and will be presented by Petr Fradkov, Chairman of PJSC Bank PSB, and Ilan Shor, CEO of A7, during a live broadcast at 13:13 Moscow time.

A7, established in 2024 with the involvement of PSB Bank, is described by the company as a global financial technology firm specializing in international payments and settlement infrastructure spanning more than 100 countries. The group's product lineup includes international payments, digital financial assets and promissory notes, with A7 reporting roughly 15,000 clients and approximately 2,000 transactions processed through the system every day. According to A7, around 19% of Russian companies' cross-border trade settlements were processed through A7 in 2025, and in October 2025 the company received an AA(RU) credit rating with a Stable outlook from ACRA.

Separately, the Sui Foundation and The DATA Foundation announced on 12 October that the DATA Network and its Trace registry, a registry the organizations describe as carrying more than 250 million verifiable receipts for rights-cleared AI training data, are joining the Sui stack and Walrus to bring rights-cleared training data to infrastructure Sui has built for AI workloads. The companies said the integration is intended to support the next generation of AI models.

The two announcements arrive against a shifting backdrop for stablecoin adoption. Industry data cited this week showed SaaS and eCommerce increasing their combined share of stablecoin-related activity from 48.26% to 55.54%, while Trading moved from 14.07% to 13.15%. Operators in the stablecoin infrastructure space have argued that businesses frequently treat stablecoins primarily as a coin-and-network decision, when digital businesses may need broader operating workflows including billing, checkout, settlement, payouts and reconciliation.

In esports, 1win's Counter-Strike 2 team, which earned their place at ESL Pro League Season 24 by winning ESL Challenger League Season 51 Europe, upset the world-leading roster Team Spirit 2-0 at the tournament. The result secured 1win a playoff berth at the Spodek Arena and an additional $100,000 reward from the Owner of 1win, according to the announcement.
