SUI Inches Up 2% After $30M DATA Network Investment — Because Apparently Money Still Talks 💸

SUI rose approximately 2% after DATA Network, a decentralized data infrastructure project within the Sui ecosystem, confirmed a $30 million investment round, according to a report from Cryptonews.

DATA Network said the capital will be directed toward expanding its on-chain data infrastructure and supporting builders operating on the Sui network. The project did not disclose the participating investors or the round's structure in the initial announcement.

The price move comes as the broader crypto market digested a series of competing headlines, including a $900 million raise by SWI Group tied to former FTX-linked assets and an 11 million ETH transfer from the Ethereum Foundation that drew attention on-chain.

SUI, the native token of the Sui blockchain developed by Mysten Labs, has historically reacted to ecosystem-level funding announcements. DATA Network has positioned itself as a data indexing and querying layer for the Sui network, competing with cross-chain data services offered by The Graph and other Web3 infrastructure providers.

Market participants cited in the report attributed the modest 2% gain primarily to the confirmed $30 million figure rather than broader momentum. No official statement from Mysten Labs or the Sui Foundation accompanied the DATA Network announcement.

DATA Network said additional updates on its roadmap and validator program are expected in the coming weeks, without providing a specific launch date.
