Solana ETFs Finally Take a Breath After 14 Weeks of Hoarding 📉
US spot Solana ($SOL) exchange-traded funds shed $24.8 million in the week ending October 9, posting their largest weekly outflow since launch in October 2025 and snapping a 14-week streak of consecutive inflows, according to SoSoValue data. The exit nearly tripled the previous record of an $8.9 million outflow set in the week ending February 6, and came two weeks after the funds pulled in $188.2 million, their second-largest weekly haul on record. Inflows had already cooled to $2.4 million in the week ending October 2 before reversing last week.
The Solana exit landed during a broadly red week for US spot crypto ETFs. Spot Bitcoin ($BTC) funds lost $681.1 million over the same period, while spot Ethereum ($ETH) products shed $542.1 million, closing the week on a ninth straight outflow day, BeInCrypto noted. Spot Hyperliquid ($HYPE) ETFs posted outflows of $9.4 million and spot Zcash ($ZEC) ETFs lost $30.7 million.
Net assets in the Solana funds dropped 8.9% on the week, from $1.90 billion to $1.73 billion, but only about $25 million of the decline came from the outflow itself, with the remainder reflecting a 10.25% slide in SOL's price during the trading week. $SOL was trading at $111.53 at press time, up 1.45% over the previous 24 hours, according to BeInCrypto Markets data.
Spot XRP ($XRP) ETFs moved in the opposite direction, drawing $11.3 million over the same period and extending their inflow streak to 13 consecutive weeks. Their last outflow week ended July 10, and cumulative net inflows into the products have reached a record $1.80 billion against net assets of $1.57 billion. The buying held up even as XRP fell 8.2% on the week.
Year-to-date, Solana and XRP ETFs have each attracted more capital than spot Bitcoin ETFs. Since January 1, Solana funds have drawn $816.8 million and XRP funds $635.5 million, compared with $494.1 million for Bitcoin. The next weekly print, covering trading through October 16, will show whether buyers stepped back into the Solana products following the price drop.
