XRP's 9-Year Wait Meets Moon Lambo's QNT and ZEC Patience Pitch 📈
A YouTuber known as Moon Lambo is using his own positions in Quant ($QNT) and Zcash ($ZEC) to argue that XRP's roughly nine-year stretch below its January 2018 all-time high of $3.84 does not preclude a future breakout. In a post on X, Moon Lambo pushed back on the idea that XRP is permanently barred from price discovery simply because it has not broken its old record since 2017. He said investors who assume XRP is finished should weigh its fundamentals rather than its multi-year price chart, framing his own QNT and ZEC holdings as evidence that patience can eventually pay off in this market.
The comparison draws on Quant and Zcash as proof that years of stagnation can precede outsized moves. Moon Lambo disclosed that he bought QNT for about $98 in 2023. The token fell to around $54 before recovering to roughly $193, an unrealized gain of about 97% from his entry, and later spiked to around $352 before retracing. ZEC followed a similar pattern, with a multi-year base giving way to an extended rally that briefly took it above $700 before a pullback. The shared lesson, in his framing, is that long consolidation and a fast breakout are not mutually exclusive.
The reference points are not theoretical. Quant tripled in a single week following a major U.S. banking partnership, a concrete institutional catalyst that turned a dormant chart into a breakout. Moon Lambo pointed to that episode as the kind of development that transforms a multi-year range into a new leg higher, and he suggested XRP holders should judge the token on similar catalysts rather than on how long it has sat beneath its prior peak.
Against that backdrop, XRP's recent tape is modest by comparison. The token has now spent nearly nine years below its January 2018 all-time high of $3.84, yet still managed an almost eightfold run from roughly $0.49 in November 2024 to $3.66 by July 2025. Moon Lambo argued that the gap between possibility and probability is where XRP's next move gets decided, and that fundamentals rather than chart duration should drive that assessment.
Moon Lambo's broader message is that a long wait is not conclusive evidence that an asset is finished. He closed by urging followers to weigh fundamentals over multi-year price charts and to consider that patience, in his own QNT and ZEC positions, has already produced double-digit gains from his entries.
