Quant's $QNT Prints Triple-Digit Gains After The Clearing House Taps It for Tokenized Deposits 🏦
Quant ($QNT) surged over the past week following a September 24 announcement that The Clearing House selected Quant to provide the interoperability, orchestration, and transaction management layer for its new On-Chain Money Initiative in the United States. Sources differ on exact peak percentage moves, with one outlet reporting gains of roughly +178% over seven days including a +72% daily spike, and another citing a rally from around $64 to a high of $371 before retracing to roughly $260, with the variation reflecting intraday volatility and timing of data capture. The London-based company builds Overledger, software that connects banks and enterprises across multiple blockchains, and its token is used to pay for network access.
The U.S. network is designed to let financial institutions clear and settle tokenized deposits and integrate with existing payment systems, including the Real-Time Payments (RTP) network and CHIPS. The Clearing House's existing payment networks clear and settle over $2 trillion every day, with CHIPS averaging approximately $2.014 trillion in daily payment value in 2025. The infrastructure is scheduled to be available to participating institutions during the first half of 2027. Quant will not be directly processing those transactions; the $2 trillion figure refers to the scale of The Clearing House's established payment rails rather than Quant's role in the new system.
On the same day, Quant announced a separate deal with UK banks, further anchoring the company at the center of traditional banks' push to move deposits onchain. Quant had also previously announced an integration with financial software provider Murex to bring tokenized deposits and digital-bond settlement capabilities into existing capital-markets infrastructure. The Clearing House initiative represents bank deposits in digital form while retaining the underlying protections and regulatory framework of traditional deposits, with participating institutions able to move the tokenized money according to predefined rules and settle transactions around the clock.
Price levels cited across the coverage also varied depending on the snapshot. One source said $QNT climbed from around $70 to above $90, with the daily chart showing a break above a long-term descending trendline and buyers eyeing a supply zone near $110 if $100 is cleared. Another reported an intraday print near $178.46 with the price moving rapidly amid unusual volatility. All sources agree the move followed the same September 24 catalyst and was tied directly to The Clearing House announcement.
