Seven Days, $2.98B, Zero Wallets Required: Bitcoin ETFs Quietly Rewrite Their 2026 🧾

—By our Markets Desk2 min read

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $134.5 million on Friday, stretching their inflow streak to seven consecutive trading days, according to Decrypt's Bitcoin ETF tracker. The run, which began Sept. 17, has now absorbed roughly $2.98 billion, a sharp pivot from mid-September, when the funds shed $450.4 million on Sept. 15 — their worst single day since June — following the Senate's failed cloture vote on the Clarity Act. They lost another $295.9 million the next day, and inflows since then have outpaced those back-to-back losses by roughly fourfold.

The turnaround reached its peak on Sept. 21, when the funds took in nearly $1 billion, their largest daily haul since October 2025. That surge helped lift Bitcoin above the average ETF holder's estimated cost basis of $81,722, a figure cited by Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart, marking the first time typical fund investors have sat in profit since January.

The streak has also reset the year's tally. Through Thursday, the funds had taken in a net $886.8 million in 2026, per Farside Investors data, a roughly $6.6 billion swing from July 13, when year-to-date flows sat $5.69 billion in the red. Friday's inflow would push the 2026 total past $1 billion, though exact tallies vary by tracker; Bloomberg placed year-to-date flows near $320 million earlier this week. Cumulative net inflows since launch now stand at $58.0 billion, according to Decrypt's tracker, with total net assets at $108.42 billion and Bitcoin trading at around $84,020.

Matching 2025's full-year haul of $21.35 billion, per Farside, would require roughly $300 million a day through December — a pace this streak has already cleared on average.
