Barça Goes On-Chain: Cardano Scores a Hat Trick With FC Barcelona's Fan Lab ⚽

FC Barcelona has launched Barça Fan Lab on Cardano in partnership with builder Andamio, the Cardano Foundation confirmed, adding a global sports club to the network's growing roster of real-world deployments. The platform is designed to move supporters from passive content consumption into active participation through structured learning pathways covering the club's history, identity, and values, along with community events that issue verifiable digital credentials.

Access to Barça Fan Lab runs through BarçaID, and each participant can create a Cardano-based Web3 portfolio designed to store credentials and access tokens tied to the program. Andamio, the development partner, is providing the underlying tooling for the credentialing and portfolio infrastructure built on Cardano.

The launch lands alongside a sharp move in ADA, which jumped 5% to a 24-hour high of $0.2544 before paring gains. At press time, ADA traded at $0.2482, up 1.47% over the previous 24 hours, as selling pressure appeared near the $0.2544 resistance level.

The Barcelona project slots into a wider Web3 push on Cardano, which recently added ADA payment support through the x402 software kit, allowing applications and AI agents to handle transactions in the token. The combination of a tier-one sports brand and new payment rails marks one of the more visible enterprise-leaning additions to the Cardano ecosystem this year.

Pricing for ADA was reported at $0.2544 at the session high and $0.2482 at press time, with a 1.47% gain over 24 hours, according to market data cited in the initial report.
