NYSE and Blockchain.com Teaming Up So You Can Trade U.S. Stocks While Your Pizza Rolls 🍕📈
Blockchain.com and NYSE Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore global distribution of tokenized U.S. exchange-listed stocks and ETFs through NYSE's planned digital trading platform, the companies announced. Under the agreement, eligible Blockchain.com users could access tokenized securities via the venue once it receives regulatory approval, though the firms have not disclosed which jurisdictions would be included.
The planned NYSE platform is designed to support 24/7 trading and onchain settlement of tokenized securities. NYSE has previously stated the platform would also enable fractional trading and stablecoin-based funding. "Tokenized stocks are one of the most impactful advancements in the modern financial landscape," Blockchain.com Executive Chairman and CEO Peter Smith said, adding that connecting with the NYSE platform could extend access to tokenized assets across Blockchain.com's global user base.
The agreement also covers market data distribution. ICE Data Services, an affiliate of NYSE parent Intercontinental Exchange, plans to distribute Blockchain.com's crypto market data and analytics to its clients. The arrangement extends a data partnership the two companies first established in 2024.
The announcement builds on NYSE parent Intercontinental Exchange's broader tokenization strategy. In March, ICE disclosed plans to build infrastructure supporting tokenized stocks, funds and other assets alongside traditional financial workflows. The new memorandum adds Blockchain.com to those efforts as a distribution and data partner rather than an exchange operator.
Neither company has provided a launch timeline for the tokenized stock offering or specified which stocks or ETFs would be made available. Regulatory approval in each relevant jurisdiction remains a prerequisite before any Blockchain.com users can trade the assets, and the firms have not committed to a date for live trading on the planned NYSE digital platform.
