Pi Network Waves Magic Wand at 914K Stuck Pioneers, Finally Lets Them Join the Mainnet Party 🎉
Pi Network has cleared KYC blocks affecting more than 417,000 Pioneers previously flagged as possible duplicate accounts, the project announced, while also preparing a wallet fix aimed at roughly 497,000 users locked out of their migrated balances. The dual update is designed to remove two of the largest technical barriers that have prevented eligible Pioneers from completing Mainnet migration.
According to Pi Network, more than 417,000 accounts re-evaluated under the refined duplicate-account check were confirmed as non-duplicate users and can now resume the KYC process. Removing the duplicate flag does not waive other verification requirements, and affected users must still complete all remaining KYC steps to access the Mainnet migration. Pi also reviewed cases of early Yoti KYC submissions that lacked liveness data and made those Pioneers eligible to re-apply, while Indonesian users rejected for submitting unsupported KIA identification can resubmit an accepted ID.
A separate update targets approximately 497,000 Pioneers who received Mainnet wallets through Pi's Fast-Track process but were unable to claim their migration balance because their wallets lacked enough Pi to cover the gas fee. Pi Network said a fix will be deployed within a week to restore access to those accounts and to prevent similar cases in the future. The team also extended liveness-check support to older devices and began a pilot program for palm-print authentication as part of the same rollout.
The changes come as Pi continues testing for Protocol V27, which the project says is the next step toward a fully open Mainnet. PI traded near $0.0888 at the time of reporting, with the price reflecting ongoing market activity around the migration updates. Pi Network stated that the combined KYC and wallet fixes are intended to bring the largest remaining group of verified-but-blocked Pioneers onto the Mainnet.
