Ondo and NEAR Bring Wall Street Onchain, 20 Tokens at a Time
NEAR has partnered with Ondo Finance to make tokenized U.S. stocks, ETFs and commodity-linked products available through near.com and NEAR Intents, beginning with a lineup of 20 assets accessible to eligible users in supported jurisdictions. Tokenized exposure to Tesla, NVIDIA, Apple, Microsoft and Amazon anchors the initial selection, alongside the QQQ ETF and precious-metals funds SLV and IAU.
Purchases can be funded using supported assets including USDC and Bitcoin without requiring a separate brokerage account, with NEAR Intents handling the cross-chain routing. NEAR Intents connects more than 30 blockchain networks, allowing participating wallets and applications to direct transactions into Ondo Stocks. "Bringing financial markets onchain should give people more control over their money and more choice in how they transact," said Alex Shevchenko, CEO of Defuse Labs, the developer of NEAR Intents.
Ondo's broader tokenized securities platform already holds more than $1 billion in total value locked, has recorded over $26 billion in cumulative trading volume and supports tokenized stock products on Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain prior to the NEAR integration. The NEAR tie-up extends distribution for those instruments into an additional ecosystem designed to route orders and settlements across chains.
Both companies framed the integration as infrastructure rather than a consumer launch, emphasizing eligibility restrictions tied to jurisdiction and KYC requirements that govern Ondo's existing tokenized U.S. securities products. Pricing, settlement timing and redemption mechanics for Ondo Stocks on near.com are determined by the underlying tokenized contracts rather than by traditional exchange hours, according to documentation referenced by both parties.
