Saylor's Shopping Spree Returns: Strategy Quietly Adds 950 BTC, Largest Buy Since Late August 🟧

Strategy, the software-turned-bitcoin-treasury company led by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, disclosed a purchase of 950 BTC for $75.7 million last week at an average price of $79,670 per coin, marking its first weekly bitcoin acquisition since late August. The disclosure came in a Monday morning regulatory filing.

The company funded the bitcoin buy with $75.7 million of USD cash. Separately, Strategy deployed $174 million of USD cash to repurchase shares of its STRC preferred stock and used $57.4 million from its USD reserve to pay dividends on its preferred stock. Following those moves, the USD reserve stands at $5 billion and USD cash sits at $1 billion.

Strategy now holds 846,000 BTC, acquired at a cumulative cost of $63.81 billion and an average price of $74,417 per coin. The latest purchase lifts the company's total holdings after a roughly three-week pause in accumulation.

In pre-market trading on Monday, MSTR shares rose 7% as bitcoin climbed to $84,500, a 4.5% gain over the prior 24 hours. Strategy's ticker MSTR last traded at $168.38.
