XRP's $81B market cap gives Dubai investor the ick: "I would never invest in Ripple" 🚩

—By our Altcoins & Tokens Desk1 min read

Dubai-based crypto investor Royal Kane said on X that he "would never invest in Ripple at this stage because its market cap is already too large," pointing to a roughly $81 billion market capitalization as a key concern. He also claimed Ripple has "no products or revenue whatsoever," and attached a chart of $XRP's price performance over the past year. The comments represent Kane's personal investment thesis and do not reflect any official position.

$XRP was trading around $1.30, according to the figures cited in Kane's post, down from approximately $3.04 at the start of 2025 and a recent high of $1.68. The token's market capitalization stood at $81.68 billion with $4.12 billion in 24-hour trading volume, and it was down 29.18% year-to-date.

The broader crypto market has been under pressure from the Federal Reserve's rate hike and the failure of the CLARITY Act to pass a Senate vote, both of which have weighed on risk sentiment. $XRP has followed that trend, slipping below the $1.30 threshold as risk-off conditions persisted. Kane's chart illustrated the token's year-long slide, which he cited as further justification for his stance.
