Crypto.com's sibling just got the SEC's thumbs-up to let you bet on individual stocks 🚀

OG.com, the sister futures exchange of Crypto.com, has received authorization from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to offer single-stock futures in the United States. Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek announced the development in a Thursday X post, confirming that the SEC has acknowledged OG.com's Form 1-N filing. The filing positions the platform to list single-stock futures products domestically.

Marszalek said the company is coordinating with the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to launch single-stock perpetual futures that combine the "innovations of the digital asset markets with the US capital markets." The regulatory acknowledgement removes a significant hurdle for OG.com, whose legal entity, North American Derivatives Exchange, submitted the Form 1-N on Monday to register as a national securities exchange for trading futures products.

The move comes as other crypto platforms expand into equities-adjacent offerings. In September, Kraken reportedly partnered with the London Stock Exchange to launch tokenized UK stocks with 24/5 availability on the stock market operator's night-time trading venue starting in 2027. In March, crypto exchange Coinbase rolled out stock perpetual futures for non-US traders, after launching access to regulated crypto futures and 24/5 cash equities in the US in February.

Separately, Nasdaq has invested $100 million in Kraken's parent company at a reported $21 billion valuation, according to a recent report. The developments reflect ongoing convergence between traditional finance operators and digital asset platforms as regulators continue to define the boundaries of tokenized and derivatives-based equity products in the US market.
