PUMP Prints a Golden Cross, Books a Seven-Month Revenue High, and Tells the Bears to Sit Down 🪙

—By our Markets Desk2 min read

Pump.fun's PUMP token posted its first golden cross since launching in mid-2025, with the 50-day EMA crossing above the 200-day EMA as the token's fundamentals strengthened. PUMP bottomed at $0.001491 in July and touched $0.003 intraday Monday before settling near $0.002733, a move that comes after a rough 10-month stretch following its $8 billion peak in September 2025.

Revenue figures back the technical signal. DefiLlama lists Pump.fun at $11.52 million in seven-day revenue, placing the protocol fourth among all crypto protocols, behind Tether, Circle, and Canton, and ahead of Polymarket, GMGN, Tron, and Axiom Pro. Weekly revenue came in at 2x that of Hyperliquid, which carries a $59 billion fully diluted valuation, more than 20x PUMP's. Annualized revenue now runs at $458 million against a $1.09 billion market cap, a level not seen since February.

Per the Pump.fun Ecosystem account on August 17, 2026, the protocol bought back and burned $5,523,400 worth of $PUMP over the past seven days, bringing cumulative buybacks and burns to $429,630,000 and removing 28.580% of total circulating supply. Pump's own figures show fees of $10.74 million for August 10 to 16, up 7% week over week and the strongest week since late January, with Tuesday's $1.73 million marking the largest single revenue day since January 30. Half of every revenue dollar is contractually routed to buybacks and burns, with last week's flow including a separate $5.33 million in PUMP purchases, offsetting 15.9% of total supply.

Product developments have accompanied the revenue gains. Pump launched Callout Rewards on August 13, paying users daily based on the volume their token callouts generate, and on August 17 cut app trading fees to 0% on Solana and 0.1% crosschain, undercutting Axiom, GMGN, and Fomo on price while paying users to direct flow. The platform reports weekly app traders up 23% and a new all-time high in daily active traders set last Thursday.

Decrypt separately reported that Kraken parent company Payward has joined Anthropic's Project Glasswing, using Claude Mythos to identify security flaws, a move that followed an open letter from over 40 Bitcoin and crypto companies.
