Pump.fun’s PUMP Hits Golden Cross as Buybacks and Traders Turn the Screws Higher

Pump.fun's PUMP was the best-performing token among the top 100 by market capitalization on Monday, rising almost 9% to $0.002933 after touching $0.003000 intraday. The broader crypto market gained 1.1% as the Fear & Greed Index opened at 39, while the Altcoin Season Index stood at 44 out of 100 and Bitcoin dominance remained elevated.

PUMP's 50-day Exponential Moving Average, or EMA, crossed above its 200-day EMA, marking a golden cross and the first such shift since the token launched in mid-2025. The token bottomed at $0.001491 in July and has since nearly doubled, posting a monthly gain of roughly 90%, according to CoinMarketCap.

Supporting indicators also strengthened. PUMP's Average Directional Index, or ADX, read 45.3, above the 25 level associated with a trending market and the 40 level associated with a strong trend, while its Relative Strength Index, or RSI, was 51.4. The protocol generated $11.52 million in seven-day revenue, according to DefiLlama, including $5.37 million directed to PUMP token holders through its buyback-and-burn program.

Open interest in PUMP perpetuals reached $238.42 million, up from roughly $189 million two weeks earlier, according to Coinglass. Pump.fun has also introduced new social trading features aimed at competing with trading app Fomo's offerings to top traders.
