Ethereum treasury firm Bitmine acquired 7,391 ETH over the past week, maintaining its streak of weekly Ethereum purchases, according to a company press release. The firm also repurchased 3 million shares of its own BMNR stock during the same period. With the latest addition, Bitmine now holds approximately 4.8% of the total ETH supply and sits 96% of the way to its stated goal of amassing 5% of total supply.

Bitmine's total staked ETH stands at 5,067,309, valued at roughly $9.8 billion at current prices. That staked position represents 87% of the company's total Ethereum holdings. The firm projects annualized staking rewards of $194 million and reported a 7-day BMNR yield of 2.63% generated by its own staking operations.

The treasury firm, associated with Tom Lee, has now bought Ethereum every week as part of its accumulation strategy. Bitmine also continued its BMNR buyback program despite the common stock trading down during the period covered by the announcement. Specific pricing details for the ETH acquisition and the share repurchases were not disclosed in the press release.
