LBank Doubles Down on CertiK, Because $600B in Hackers Apparently Need a Longer Rolodex 🔐
LBank has launched a Crypto Resilience Initiative aimed at bolstering platform security through continued cooperation with Web3 security firm CertiK, according to an August 10 announcement out of Singapore. The exchange said the program builds on its existing relationship with CertiK and will incorporate the firm's penetration testing services alongside LBank's participation in CertiK's Bug Bounty program.
The initiative comes as digital asset platforms contend with increasingly sophisticated threats, including cross-chain exploits, smart contract vulnerabilities and AI-assisted attack techniques. LBank said the effort is intended to bring more proactive external assessments into its security stack. "Security is becoming increasingly collaborative," said Eric He, Community Angel Officer and Risk Control Advisor at LBank. "As the blockchain ecosystem grows more interconnected, protecting users requires not only stronger internal controls but also closer cooperation across the industry. Through the Crypto Resilience Initiative, we look forward to working with CertiK to contribute to a safer digital asset ecosystem."
LBank's broader security framework includes cold wallet custody, multi-signature authorization, behavioral analytics, AI-assisted risk detection and continuous monitoring. CertiK, headquartered in New York and founded in 2017, describes itself as the largest Web3 security services provider and reports detecting more than 119,000 vulnerabilities while protecting over $600 billion in digital assets across more than 150 countries and regions. The firm operates under SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 standards.
Founded in 2015, LBank serves more than 25 million registered users across 160 countries and regions, with daily trading volume exceeding $23.81 billion. Both companies stated they expect the initiative to support stronger security practices industry-wide and contribute to the long-term resilience of the digital asset ecosystem.
