Ark Invest, the firm led by chief executive Cathie Wood, purchased more than $54.6 million worth of Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: SPX), NVIDIA Corp. (NASDAQ: NVDA) and Circle Internet Group Inc. (NYSE: CRCL) shares across five exchange-traded funds on Tuesday, according to the company's Aug. 5 trading disclosure. The buying spree came the same week SpaceX and Circle reported second-quarter earnings.

Through ARKK, ARKQ, ARKW, ARKF and ARKX, Ark acquired 181,830 shares of SpaceX valued at approximately $19.69 million at the most recent closing price of $108.27, 273,343 shares of Circle worth about $17.30 million at $63.28 per share, and 80,415 shares of NVIDIA valued at roughly $17.63 million at $219.22 per share. SpaceX shares closed 13.61% lower on the day, Circle ended nearly flat at +0.05%, and NVIDIA rose 3.43% from the opening price.

The buying follows both companies' latest quarterly reports. Circle reported $701 million in second-quarter revenue and reserve income, up 7% year-over-year, while adjusted EBITDA rose 8% to $143 million. USDC circulation climbed 19% to $73.3 billion, and on-chain transaction volume surged 151% to $14.8 trillion. SpaceX posted a 92% increase in quarterly revenue to $7.8 billion, though shares declined as investors focused on $18.4 billion in capital expenditures that executives said would fund expanded AI capabilities.

SpaceX ranks as ARKK's fifth-largest holding at roughly $282 million, representing a 4.73% portfolio weighting, while Circle sits eighth at approximately $233 million, or 3.90% of the fund. The two companies join Tesla, Coinbase, Robinhood, OpenAI, Bitmine and Palantir among the ETF's top positions, reflecting Ark's continued focus on artificial intelligence, crypto, fintech and other technology sectors.

The latest purchases build on a late-July rebalancing, when Ark sold shares of Bitmine, Robinhood, Block and Bullish while buying roughly $43.5 million of Coinbase and Circle stock and about $14.5 million of SpaceX shares.
