Cat's out of the bag: CASHCAT purrs back 120% as Robinhood Chain's TVL climbs to $774M 🐱
CASHCAT, the cat-themed memecoin built around Robinhood's pre-rebrand cat-with-cash logo, has surged roughly 120% over the past week to about 8.7 cents, lifting its market capitalization to around $86 million on $9 million in daily volume. The token, which its own website describes as "fan fiction with a ticker," climbed 22% in the past 24 hours and remains well below its mid-July peak near 22 cents.
The rally comes as Robinhood Chain's total value locked has climbed to roughly $774 million, with tokenized real-world assets on the chain reaching about $100 million, of which CASHCAT alone accounts for an estimated 85% of that value. The token continues to hold the deepest memecoin liquidity pool on the chain, with about $5 million parked in its primary Uniswap market, down from $6.6 million at a $105 million valuation in July.
The debut wave that lifted CASHCAT has largely dissipated. Token deployments across the chain's launchpads have fallen from about 35,000 per day in mid-July to roughly 10,000, and Noxa, the launchpad that drove July's activity, stopped accepting new launches on July 11 and went dark two days later after an estimated $12 million in fees. Noxa still holds about $137,000 of CASHCAT and has not sold; its balance has stayed flat over the past week while the token's value rose 75%.
CASHCAT's distribution has broadened in the meantime. DEXTools data shows the token has about 41,200 holders, the full 989 million supply is circulating with no locked allocation, and the largest single holder is the Uniswap liquidity pool at 2.47%. The biggest wallets below that each hold between 1.3% and 1.5% of supply.
Robinhood Markets CEO Vlad Tenev, who days earlier had called assets without utility a dead end, posted that the chain "works great for memes too" after CASHCAT's early surge delivered seven-figure returns to a handful of wallets within a week of the July 1 mainnet launch.
