Saylor's Strategy shuffles 1,030 $BTC to a new wallet — because why keep all your eggs in one chain?
A wallet linked to Michael Saylor's Strategy moved 1,030 Bitcoin worth more than $66 million in a fresh round of on-chain transfers, according to data from Lookonchain and Arkham. The transactions, five in total and individually valued between roughly $6 million and $21 million, came shortly after the company transferred 300 Bitcoin worth almost $19 million earlier this week. Arkham data indicated the source wallet has now been emptied of its BTC.
The transfers follow Strategy's latest sale of 1,638 BTC for approximately $105 million. The sale drew scrutiny from market participants, with commentators including Ted Pillows noting that similar prior movements historically preceded disposals. "They ended up selling it," Pillows said in reference to past transactions of this kind.
Strategy, the business intelligence firm formerly known as MicroStrategy and listed on equity markets under the ticker MSTR, has been the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin for several years, having begun its accumulation under executive chairman Michael Saylor. The company's stock has come under pressure in recent sessions as analysts on Wall Street trimmed their price targets for MSTR following the disclosed sale.
The latest wallet activity does not by itself confirm a further sale, as transfers between wallets can precede sales, pledges, or custodial rebalancing. Lookonchain and Arkham both flagged the transactions based on publicly available blockchain data, and no official statement from Strategy accompanied the movements at the time of reporting.
Market participants continue to monitor Strategy's on-chain footprint given its outsized influence on sentiment around $BTC. Any future sale disclosure would be filed through standard regulatory channels, while routine wallet reorganizations remain a regular feature of the firm's treasury operations.
