ESMA's MiCA Roster Hits 321: 12 New CASPs In, Three Italian Outlaws Flagged 🚦
Twelve companies were added to the European Securities and Markets Authority's Markets in Crypto-Assets register in ESMA's fourth update following the July 1 transitional deadline, published July 31. The additions bring the total number of authorized crypto-asset service providers listed under MiCA to 321.
The latest batch features three German cooperative banks: Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Oberbayern Südost, VR Bank Schleswig-Holstein Mitte and VR-Bank Landau-Mengkofen. Spain contributed two entries, Basque Pay and Fintech Payments, while France added four: Finary, Woorton, Blockchain Process Security and Shares Financial Assets. Rounding out the group are three additional firms registered in other jurisdictions covered by the update.
Alongside the new authorizations, ESMA placed three companies on its non-compliant entities register: Cervo Rendisco, Flandenzo and Corona Fondenza. All three were flagged by Italy's Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa. The non-compliant list now contains 167 entries.
The July 31 update did not alter other MiCA-related registers. The count of authorized e-money token issuers holds at 41, and no asset-referenced token issuers are currently listed.
