Cardano Founder Floats 60x Performance Upgrade, Promises $ADA Will "Always Be Here" 🪙

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said the network's next major technical upgrade, known as Leios, will increase the network's performance by approximately 60 times once rolled out. He stated that Leios is expected to be deployed soon and described it as a significant leap in the project's technological capabilities.

Speaking publicly about the state of the $ADA ecosystem, Hoskinson argued that the network's decentralized governance structure allows the community to determine the network's future without any central authority. He outlined a process in which community members can come together to create a roadmap, allocate resources, vote on proposals, and implement accepted changes, framing the project as a continually evolving ecosystem.

Hoskinson acknowledged that Cardano is technologically stronger than it was in 2024, but said its market position, brand value, and standing within the industry have declined. He stated he would take steps without delay to put $ADA "back on the right track," while expressing dissatisfaction with weak branding, marketing, and adoption efforts within the ecosystem.

He described Cardano as one of the "blue chip" projects in the cryptocurrency market and said the project will continue to exist regardless of market conditions. "No matter what you do, Cardano will always be here and will continue to make its presence felt," Hoskinson said.

He also argued that the project deserved its past success, adding that renewed focus on ecosystem coordination would be needed to translate that technical foundation into broader market results.
