Validator's Choice: Flowra and Honeypot Slip Sanctions Screening Into the Block Builder 🧱
Seoul, South Korea, July 30th, 2026 — Solana infrastructure platform Flowra has partnered with compliance provider Honeypot to embed sanctions and risk screening directly into the block-building process on the network. The integration will allow institutional validators to apply policy rules that govern which transactions and bundles are included during block construction.
The collaboration combines Honeypot's compliance intelligence with Flowra's Programmable Block Policy (PBP), enabling validators to screen transactions against sanctions-related criteria, including wallet addresses tied to sanctioned entities, alongside network-level signals such as VPNs, proxy services, and Tor exit nodes. According to the announcement, such obfuscation methods account for an estimated 31-61% of traffic reaching blockchain infrastructure. The framework is being built to accommodate additional enterprise compliance providers in the future.
Under the design, each validator will set its own policy, preserving autonomy over block-construction decisions while giving operators flexibility in how they filter inbound transactions. Flowra said the initial focus will be on sanctions screening, wallet screening, and auditability for regulated institutions, with further technical details to follow as implementation advances.
"Public blockchains have become increasingly attractive to institutional participants, but the infrastructure hasn't evolved to give validators the compliance controls many regulated operators expect," said Harry Hwang, CEO of Flowra. "We're working with Honeypot to bring compliance into the block-building process itself, allowing validators to define and enforce their own policies before transactions are included on-chain. The goal isn't to make the network less open, it's to give individual validators the flexibility to operate in a way that reflects their own requirements."
Flowra is a blockchain infrastructure company building validator and order-flow solutions for the Solana ecosystem, developing technology aimed at improving transaction transparency, value distribution, and incentive alignment across validators, users, and builders. Honeypot provides compliance intelligence for platforms operating under sanctions and geo-restriction requirements, detecting VPNs, proxies, Tor exit nodes and other location-obfuscation methods used by exchanges, DeFi protocols, and financial institutions.
