Morgan Stanley Joins the ETF Party: Now Serving ETH and SOL With a Side of Staking 🍽️

By our Markets Desk1 min read

Morgan Stanley's investment arm has launched spot Ethereum and Solana exchange-traded funds on NYSE Arca, marking the first crypto ETFs issued by a U.S. bank-affiliated asset manager. The funds trade under the tickers MSSE and MSOL, respectively, and track the prices of $ETH and $SOL.

According to a press release from the asset manager, both funds will offer staking on their holdings, allowing investors to earn rewards on the underlying assets. Morgan Stanley will charge a 0.14% management fee on each fund, positioning the products among the lowest-cost crypto ETFs available to U.S. investors. The firm received NYSE Arca approval last week for the listings.

The launches build on Morgan Stanley's earlier entry into spot crypto ETFs, which began with its Bitcoin fund introduced earlier this year. With the addition of MSSE and MSOL, the Wall Street bank has expanded its single-asset crypto lineup to three products covering $BTC, $ETH, and $SOL. No additional details on fund size, seed capital, or initial trading volumes were disclosed in the announcement.
