Separately, Kalshi is preparing a legal response to Netflix over an upcoming documentary that the company says portrays trades placed on its platform as having occurred in Las Vegas. According to the report, Kalshi has signaled its intent to pursue a defamation claim against the streamer if the material is released without changes. The dispute centers on the documentary's depiction of prediction-market activity in Nevada, a market Kalshi is now barred from serving under its settlement with state regulators.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board framed the settlement as a reaffirmation of state authority over sports wagering within its borders, regardless of whether the betting activity is structured as event contracts on a federally regulated derivatives platform.
