ARK Keeps Stacking 🧱 — Buys BitMine Shares and 3iQ's Solana Staking ETF
Cathie Wood's ARK Invest expanded its crypto-related exposure on Friday, purchasing shares of Ethereum treasury company BitMine Immersion Technologies and the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF through multiple of its exchange-traded funds.
The ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) acquired 5,264 shares of BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) for approximately $83,100, based on the stock's closing price of $15.79 on Friday. The position represents about 0.0014% of ARKK's portfolio holdings. The BitMine purchase was part of a broader ARKK rebalance that included additional buying of X-Energy and trimming of its position in Figma, extending the firm's ongoing build-out of digital asset-related holdings.
ARK also added to the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF (SOLQ.U) across two of its funds. The ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) bought 16,917 shares, while the ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF) purchased 11,101 shares. At Friday's closing price, the ARKW purchase was valued at approximately $101,700 and the ARKF purchase at approximately $66,700, bringing the combined total to 28,018 shares worth roughly $168,400 across the two funds.
BitMine Immersion Technologies operates as an Ethereum-focused treasury company, and the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF provides exposure to Solana staking within a regulated fund wrapper. The transactions were disclosed in ARK's daily trade filings and reflect incremental shifts rather than wholesale portfolio overhauls. ARK's latest moves come amid continued institutional interest in vehicles that offer regulated access to cryptocurrency markets and staking yields.
