XRP Ledger Hits 66% Validator Adoption — The Other 34% Have One Week to Update or Get Left on Read 📡

Validator adoption of XRP Ledger's v3.2.0 software has climbed to 66%, with 99 of the network's trusted validators now running the latest release, according to XRPL Explorer data. The migration covers 489 nodes, or roughly 57.87% of the 843 tracked on the network, while 319 nodes (37.75%) remain on v3.1.3 and smaller groups continue to operate versions 3.1.2, 3.1.1, 3.1.0, and 3.0.0. On the validator side, 41 validators representing 27.52% of the trusted set have yet to upgrade from v3.1.3.

XRPL validator Vet issued a direct warning on X, writing, "Happy Hump Day to everyone, especially those who have upgraded their XRP Ledger nodes to 3.2.0!" and adding, "In less than 1 Week all nodes running XRPL versions below 3.2.0 will experience service interruptions. Please update your nodes, remind exchanges and projects to update as well!" The post underscores the operational consequences facing node operators that miss the upgrade window, as the network prepares to activate the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment.

The XRP Ledger amendment process requires support from more than 80% of trusted validators, a threshold that must hold across two consecutive weeks before the change takes effect. Current adoption figures show the network still needs roughly 25 additional percentage points of validator support to cross that line. Earlier release v3.1.3 continues to account for 42 validators (28% of the total) and 322 nodes (38.38%) of the 825 nodes referenced in upgrade tracker data.

Version 3.2.0 ships with infrastructure improvements, fixes, and developer enhancements, including the XLS-0095 proposal, which formally renames the amendment. The release also bundles additional technical changes aimed at hardening the protocol. Node operators, exchanges, and infrastructure providers have until the end of the one-week window to migrate or face potential service disruptions once the upgrade window closes.
