Lizard People Denied, NFTs Acquired: Creepz Returns Home Under Unserious 🦎

Unserious has acquired Creepz, one of the most recognizable NFT collections of the 2021-22 cycle, according to a July 22 announcement. The deal is backed by entrepreneur and investor Adam Weitsman and supported by the original founders, placing the lizard cult brand under a new operating team. The acquisition also marks the return of Psychrome, the original creator and lead writer of the Creepz lore, to head IP development.

Psychrome brings a résumé as a globally exhibited artist whose commercial collaborations have included Nike, Salomon, Sneaker Con, Staple, Disney, Warner Bros., and Rovio. The Unserious team adds operating experience across consumer brands, entertainment, and enterprise tech, along with involvement in crypto token launches including ApeCoin. In a tongue-in-cheek statement accompanying the announcement, Unserious formally denied the existence of lizard people, their alleged activities, and any plans for $CREEPZ world domination.
