Bitunix Hands Users a Visa Card Because Apparently Crypto Needs a Frequent Flyer Account Too 💳

—By our Exchanges & Companies Desk2 min read

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitunix has launched the Bitunix Card, a Visa-powered payment product that lets users spend their holdings at everyday merchants while earning yield on idle balances, according to a July 16 announcement from Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The card is accepted at more than 130 million merchants worldwide that take Visa, including Uber, ChatGPT, Amazon, Spotify and Netflix, and is compatible with Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal, as well as selected regional payment networks.

Cardholders can receive up to 8% cashback on eligible spending, with rewards capped at 1,000 USDT per month, and eligible balances held on the card can automatically generate yield of up to 11.6% annually, depending on the asset and applicable conditions. The product is available through the Bitunix web platform and its iOS and Android applications, where a unified dashboard lets users manage balances, transfer funds, track transactions, monitor cashback and adjust card settings. Standard regional network processing fees apply, though eligible users may offset them through cashback depending on their VIP tier.

Activation requires a minimum balance of 100 USDT transferred to the card account, with funds remaining fully available for spending; there is no issuance fee and no monthly maintenance fee. Applicants must complete Bitunix's identity verification process and reside in a supported region. "The Bitunix Card goes far beyond payments. It unlocks a seamless, high-yield financial ecosystem built for everyday global commerce," said Bitunix Chief Strategy Officer Steven Gu.

The card extends USDT's utility beyond trading and is part of a broader push by Bitunix to connect digital assets with routine spending. Bitunix positions itself as a global cryptocurrency derivatives exchange serving over 5 million users, per the announcement, with the new product aimed at consolidating payments and earnings into a single interface for eligible customers worldwide.
