The integration is intended to record certification data on a decentralized ledger, producing an immutable and publicly verifiable record of each product's origin and manufacturing standards.

The company cited XRPL's low transaction costs, high throughput and energy efficiency as factors in its decision. Made In USA Inc. stated that it is adopting the underlying technology for its data-layer capabilities rather than centering the integration on $XRP, the ledger's native token.
