Bitget Goes Full Renaissance Trader: Crypto, FX, Commodities, and Now US Stock Options, One Tab 🖼️

By our Markets Desk2 min read

Bitget has expanded its Stock+ suite to include trading of US-listed stock options, enabling eligible users to execute long call and long put strategies alongside the exchange's existing cryptocurrency, tokenized stock, forex, index, commodity, and contracts-for-difference offerings. The company described the addition as making Bitget the only major cryptocurrency exchange to provide all of these asset classes within a single platform.

The new options service currently supports long calls, which allow traders to position for price increases, and long puts, which allow traders to position for price declines or to hedge existing stock holdings. Under the structure described, the maximum loss for an option buyer is the premium paid, while contracts may expire worthless if market expectations are not met. The options product extends Bitget's existing Stock+ platform, which already includes tokenized stocks and select pre-IPO opportunities, and provides additional instruments for trading around earnings announcements, volatility events, and broader risk management strategies.

The launch coincides with rising activity in US options markets. According to industry data cited in the announcement, more than 15.2 billion options contracts were active in 2025, with an average of nearly 60 million contracts traded per day, a level of volume attributed to increased participation from both retail and institutional investors. Bitget framed the expansion as a response to that demand, positioning options as a complementary layer to its tokenized equity and pre-IPO products rather than a replacement for them.

The exchange did not disclose specific tickers available at launch, fee schedules, or jurisdictional restrictions beyond the general eligibility requirement, and the announcement included no direct quotes from company executives. Bitget operates as a centralized cryptocurrency derivatives and spot trading platform and has progressively broadened its product range beyond digital assets over the past year, incorporating tokenized equities, commodities, and now listed equity options.

The options rollout adds a traditional hedging tool to a platform historically associated with perpetual futures and spot crypto markets, and follows a broader trend of centralized exchanges integrating conventional financial instruments as tokenization and hybrid brokerage models gain traction across the industry.
